Your personal brand is a representation of who you are and what you want to achieve. Success comes from self-packaging the right way. Your brand should be an authentic package of what you believe in, which accurately and cohesively sets out your goals and intentions. There are several aspects you need to consider when beginning the process of self-packaging. Read on for details!

 

Message

First, you need to define what you want to achieve. What message are you trying to convey? What are your goals and dreams? What is your attitude towards life? What do you have to offer? What is your area of expertise? How do you want to be perceived by others? Honesty is key when it comes to your message. Don’t fabricate an artificial one – embrace how you really feel inside and use this to create your message. Authenticity is key. When you truly believe in something, your passion shows.

Ever heard the saying “you are what you wear”? Personal style and presentation are important parts of branding. The way you dress is a representation of who you are. The colours, cuts and items you choose to wear all say something about you to the outside world. Does the way you dress align with who you are inside? Rather than wearing the latest trends simply because they’re trendy, wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Show off your unique style and boost your self-confidence and self-esteem.

 

Conduct

The way you conduct yourself also contributes to your overall brand. Don’t underestimate the importance of first impressions and having a groomed appearance! From how you walk and talk right down to how you shake hands all adds to the way you are perceived. Correct etiquette is essential if you are wanting to build trust, respect and and professional reputation. Consider your body language, manners and speech habits when building your brand.
