Hi Angela,

I had the most amazing and inspiring time with you, I can’t believe I was so nervous and you just relaxed me instantly.  Your intuition and understanding of my situation was just spot on and I must admit I had a bit of a cry when I got back in the car – it was a positive one!

I would love to be able to help you in anyway with you being an Ambassador for Depression so please let me know if I can ever help. Thanks Jo, Christchurch

Hi Angela,

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the stylists course and introducing me to some great people.
I have felt so enthused about my future.
I have been to see Leigh and now have veneers on my front teeth, what a difference, and so many positive comments.
I am under nova nutrition care and am slowly changing to healthy eating.
Yesterday I went to see Melissa at You Travel, she was great and is doing up a few suggested travel routes for me and is happy to share my Vietnam Trip info on their website.
I have got my business cards printed and my website up and running
www.notjustshopping.co.nz
I am now going to promote the styling and see where that leads. Have been buying up fashion magazines and learning all I can.
Once again THANK YOU, life is looking pretty good again and so much is happening.
Looking forward to watching you on Housewives of Auckland.
Cheers Katharine

Dear Angela

I really want to thank you so so much for your part in the evening.
You are such a professional and an inspiration to women – the girls were in awe of you and you made some fabulous comments to them about being role models not only netballers. And the great thing is we all had so much fun.

“I wanted to have a revamp of myself as I felt I was going a little stale with how I looked and what I was wearing. After reading Angela’s website, I contacted her to arrange a wardrobe styling session. Angela went right through my wardrobe and as it turned out, I didn’t need any additional clothes, I had it all there. I simply needed new ideas on how to put different combinations together. Angela was quickly in tune with what my ‘style’ is and the new combinations reflect this.
What I liked most about Angela was her honesty. She was frank and open that I should revamp my hairstyle and make-up to keep in tune with my style. She assessed my body shape, confirming what I knew already, that I could do with some work in certain areas! Surprisingly, I am now drinking green tea and being better with what I eat.
I am looking forward to having Angela assist me with my next shopping trip. The cost of using a consultant can be a little daunting, but I’ve weighed this up against purchasing a couple of ‘wrong’ outfits versus coming home with a fabulous wardrobe that makes you feel great.”

“Thank you so much for the invitation, it was truly an amazing experience.
I was very humbled to be the lucky lady that received the make over – it really lifted my spirits.. Thank you to Angela, Nikki and the lovely stylists from Dry & Tea.
I actually don’t wear makeup very much  –  however after yesterday there are a few things that I’m planning on changing. Makeup, styling & adding some colour to my wardrobe are all on the list.
So again thank you to Millennium Hotels for the opportunity, and to everyone that helped make Glamour Day possible – It was fabulous!”

“I had such a great time with Angela at my house for a consultation, her knowledge and advice is inspiring, she really lifted my spirit and confidence. Angela was so lovely and understanding and really helped me find me again. Her clothing range is unique and beautiful and now I know my colours shopping is so much easier. Thank you Angela for being so honest and making my day.”

“Clothes fill closets in my home but I was often missing that ‘piece’ that would pull it all together.  My husband gifted me the perfect solution-a few hours with Angela. I have always loved fashion, but I have wanted lately to clarify my style, polish my look, and focus my wardrobe, taking it to the next level.  Angela was exactly what I needed!  She showed me the colours I should be gravitating toward, identified gaps in my wardrobe, helped me cull unnecessary items, and choose some key and versatile new pieces with such decisiveness, grace and flare. She shared her knowledge of current fashion and the key local retailers to check out.  It was such a fun and productive day with this vivacious and perceptive woman and my expectations were far exceeded. I am so looking forward to my follow up consultation!”

“I have a lot of clothes, love shopping and buying them but somehow I’d lost my way in terms of what to choose, what suited me and how to dress for my age. Since the earthquakes, I think the dress code in the workplace in Christchurch has lapsed and I for one had certainly got lazy. I contacted Angela and, from the moment I opened the door, I knew she was exactly what I was looking for. Angela offered me practical and sensible advice about the gaps in my wardrobe and where to shop in Christchurch to find those items – I didn’t need to spend a small fortune to get the bits I needed. I had a couple of ‘wow’ moments when she showed me how to wear some of the clothes I have and I now have the confidence to wear them in a way that suits me. The best part was showing my husband the ‘new me : new hair do, new style, a bit of make-up and oozing confidence’. Angela was the inspiration I needed and I can’t thank her enough.

Dear Angela,
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your wonderful Corporate Imaging presentation last week. Speaking on behalf of myself and the staff, I can say that we all learnt so much and everyone had a lot of fun- whether they were modeling or watching from the audience. One week on and the results are visibly noticeable- gone are the pony tails and tiger stripes – The ladies all have their hair impeccably groomed from front Office right through to Housekeeping, the males are looking very smart and it is obvious that everyone is taking great pride in personal presentation. The day after your workshop we had a ‘Trial Run’ where we invited people to come and stay and try out facilities prior to officially opening. Many of the comments I received and over heard from these guests were that the staff looked impeccably groomed and looked as though they were wearing their uniforms with pride which I think is thanks to you! So once again thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us, I would most definitely recommend you to anyone!
Kind regards,
Shauney

Good morning Angela,

Thank you for your email and I loved your presentation (we all did) – it generated good conversation that night at dinner. And Trish that you accessorised with the belt and jewellery (we all loved the teal flower), came down the next morning with neat black trousers (straight leg), a lovely tailored light grey jacket with black top underneath, longer style necklace and her earrings were the ‘pop’ of colour. As usual, time was too short and we could have sat there all night listening to you but all good things must come to an end and I hope that you had a good flight back to Chch that evening. Thank you SO much again for making the effort to be with us.

Kind Regards Helen

Hi Angela

We all enjoyed the meeting you and thank you for coming and sharing your knowledge and aspects of your life – I know the last year has been life changing for me and although it is a bit “cliched” life is so much richer now and living in the present means so much more (not always easy!). Connecting to others in the New Beginnings group and ladies I have met who have been through or are currently going through this diagnosis creates a kind of connection as we know the reality of how it feels. All the best – hope we meet up again. Kind regards, Julie

October 2009

Dear Angela

Although I have spoken to you personally and congratulated yourself and team on a great night last night, I did want to formalize my thanks to you in an email.

This was my first time participating in such a prestigious event. Potentially daunting, as I felt I was the “middle person between the designer, the compare (yourself) the models(actually artists) and the audience.

I received such great help from the models who were amazing, wanting to make sure they honored each designer by wearing the clothes the “right way.” Under such pressurized and confined conditions, they achieved an awesome result.

Thank you again, and I include Kate in this, for having the confidence in me to play , albeit a small part in the scheme of things. That I have kept with me the nice afterglow of an assignment well done, speaks volumes for how I was supported..

Kind regards

Dear Angela

We would like to thank you so much for helping to make our 4th Christchurch Supper Club 2009 such a fabulous event last week.

We are delighted to announce that over $42,000 was raised for the House!! – this is an incredible amount, and we could not have achieved this without the support of the community. Please be reminded that 100% of these funds come directly to operating the House.

Your generous donation of time for the beauty package sold for $1,000 – fantastic!! This equates to over approximately 7 nights of accommodation for a family staying in our House.

Cancer Society of New Zealand, Canterbury / West Coast Division Inc.
June 2009

Dear Angela

It is difficult to escape a connection with cancer. Almost all of us have known a friend, family member, or co-worker whose life has been affected by it. It steals our youngest and brightest, our fittest and our elderly, and it makes no allowance for wealth, status or fame.

Your sontinued support of the Cancer Society’s Emerald Dream Ball means the Cancer Society is able to continue to deliver our programmes and services in the community. Those programmes are provided free to those people living with cancer and from them and their families I say thank you.

I am sure that you will agree that the 20th anniversary of the Cancer Society Ball was celebrated in style, and we have received some wonderful feedback from guests who attended. The auction was also a highlight for us raising a significant amount on the evening. Please also pass on our grateful thanks to Mods Hair Salon and Nicola Quinn Beauty. The lucky bidder for your wonderful item was Justine Lill and I am sure she will be in touch with you soon to organise her special day.

Once again thank you for your continued support and commitment for our work.

With your help there is hope.

Kind regards,

To Anyone Wanting Style Help.

I thought I was pretty clued up on what looked right on me and what colours to wear. But after years of trying different things and going through personal growth it is immensely hard to separate yourself from yourself so to speak. I really needed that. I had a huge wardrobe of interesting things but would always declare with despair that I had nothing to wear. After a huge cull out and only a hand full of basic purchases, that is now no longer the case.

Angela Stone was fun and diplomatic to work with. She efficiently went through my entire wardrobe. It was liberating to have her throw my things to the bin with conviction but at the same time relish in the good things she found there. The money I have invested in having Angela over is well worth it in the savings I will make in the future through buying the right things and avoiding the things I used to throw money away on. Since my wardrobe ‘Make-over’ I have had many compliments from both my husband and my friends on my outfits. I have rediscovered elements of myself in the garments I had relegated to the back and I feel so much better for it. The colour consultation was great too, so quick and obvious. I don’t know why had let trends drag me into some of the colours I had in my wardrobe.

I have recouped some of my investment in the session already by selling some of my things on Trade Me and swapping some more for (of all things) a Skill Saw and a bottle of wine!!

I am an average woman, wife and mother and feel that this kind of is often seen as a rich person’s privilege. However, it is not! I have used my new knowledge at the second hand store down the road with great results. I will keep a mental tally of what I save and put it towards a couple of the basic items Angela sells.

Being conscious of my pennies, I worried that my session would not provide me with value for money. But let me tell you; Angela works fast and has an air of absolute confidence and enthusiasm for what she is doing which made my time with her both incredibly productive and an absolute pleasure. I totally recommend her services to anyone.

You will love the session and you will use her advice for life.

Yours sincerely

Dear Angela,

My name is Diane, and I was at the Celebration Centre yesterday, with my sister, Melanie, who very kindly invited me along to come and see you, and am I so glad she did. I thought you were absolutely wonderful. I admired your ability to tell us the most appropriate way of dressing for our body type, without hurting our feelings. And you were kind and non judgmental which I, as a sensitive being, as many of us are, really appreciated. When you were speaking to us you said something about needing others to help with consulting. I would like to know what I need to do to become a consultant. I seem to be good at knowing what suits other people, but I need to be trained to do this. If you could let me know, that would be great.

I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you.

With kind regards,

Just a quick email to thank you very much for the shopping experience this morning. I came home and looked at my purchases and have been playing dress ups ever since. I am thrilled to say that with the 2 pairs of jeans and the 3 singlets most of the items in my wardrobe will now be able to be worn. Hi Angela,

Thanks so much for your time. I had an absolute blast and learnt so

much from you in such a short space of time. It is definitely money well spent

and while many people would probably say they would never do it, they don’t

know what they are missing. The feelings of knowing you look good and can

put an outfit together and have it work from head to toe is amazing.

I will definitely be doing this again come summer but probably to a lesser extent

due to having pieces that will transition the seasons.

I worked it all out and the money side of it probably is equal to the amount

I would have spent over six months on wasted outfits and things that end up being thrown out because they don’t look right.

I have sent your payment through tonight and look forward to enjoying my

look and catching up later in the year to attack summer!!!!

Cheers

Hi Angela

Many thanks for your presentation last night, it was well received by everyone that attended and was the hop topic of conversation when everyone arrived at work this morning. We have already 10 of us that are booking into “FACE” for some makeup advice and others other shopping for singlet tops etc.

I was going to collate a list of e-mail addresses for you, but thought the easiest way would be for you to send the e-mail to me and I can just forward on. I know there are a lot of keen people.

Once again, many thanks and no doubt we will be in contact

Kind regards

Cathy Neal

We train young adults in the area of customer services and a part of this training involves personal presentation. I was referred to Angela Stone and was immediately heartened by her obvious passion to share her wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area. She delivered an extremely informative, enjoyable and motivating seminar and everybody, including myself, walked away with a new commitment to maximise our most important asset – ourselves!

“Good morning Angela

I wanted to extend my sincerest gratitude for last night. I know Tia, Andrea and myself have received so much information and help from you that it is going to have a very positive and life changing effect on all of us.

I have come in to work today, as suggested by you, with some high pointy black shoes, my black and white skirt, tailored black jacket (without the kitten pulls (shame on me – I’m so embarrassed about that) ), and my hair pulled round in a side ponytail – I feel FABULOUS!!

Thank you for your suggestions, honesty, and constructive criticism and tips to make me feel taller and slimmer. I have struggled for the past couple of years with weight gain after a huge personal loss and want to get back to feeling confident and “alive”. This I am sure will start to change now that I have had some positive guidance from yourself.

I do hope that we will meet again and perhaps even go shopping!

You are a true inspiration.”

With kind regards

“Hi Angela

A huge thankyou for your work last night in speaking at our ‘Dress to Impress’ Function for the Canterbury Westland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives.

Using Jacqui as a model was fantastic and the difference in the ‘before’ photos and what she looked like after having her makeup and hair done and the clothes you selected for her to wear was just ‘Sensational’.

The people who attended the evening were extremely impressed and everyone made a point of saying how much they enjoyed the evening and were so pleased they had come.

We are sure Judy, the lucky winner of the ‘free one hour consultation with you’ will enjoy her prize immensely.

Once again, we cannot say a big enough thankyou for such a great evening.

We will have no hesitation in suggesting to friends and work colleagues that they contact you for a consultation or to arrange an evening similar.”

Kindest Regards

The capacity audience was treated to a delightful show co-ordinated by Angela. As always, Angela’s experience and professionalism shone through.”

To whom it may concern

I employed Angela Stone recently to give advice to my staff on grooming and presentation tips.

She told each of them in turn how important their appearance was in retail sales and how they could improve themselves. She did this skillfully without causing offence and in an encouraging way. The staff started off shy and reticent but quickly asked Angela questions about certain aspects of their appearance that concerned them. I commend Angela on her direct but delicate approach and true professionalism.

Angela worked to the brief I gave her, within a sensible budget and was flexible with her approach to the presentation. Her words of wisdom showed what an expert she is in dress standards and wardrobing and she certainly has lifted the standard of dress for my staff and given them plenty to think about before they leave home for work every day. She has an eye for detail which obviously draws from her wide experience in the modeling field and is accurate with the areas they work to improve on.

I couldn’t recommend her highly enough for anyone who employs front line people and whose image is an important part of their life, business or both.”

Yours sincerely,

I wanted to get back to you to mention I think it only makes sense that Tony & Guy would want you! You know about fashion and style for supporting an image that matches how people feel about themselves and how they want to feel out in the world. That means your job is ultimately about people being deeply happy. How amazing!

I’m lucky to have met you.

See you sometime soon,

Jonathan
