Hi everyone, NZ Cup and Show Week has come and gone for yet another year. It was a fantastic week which was enjoyed by all. Lots of fabulous fashion and lots of people having a really good time. The weather wasn't so kind to us but as the saying goes the show must always go on. The past few weeks we have been working on the Angela Stone make up range . This is now available on our website along with gift vouchers and the Angela Stone clothing range. The AS clothing range is stocked at Morgan & Page in Redcliffs and in Curate in Britomart Auckland.

NZ Cup & Show Week

5th of November-NZ Cup and Show Week started at Riccarton Park with the Neo-Natal trust luncheon fashion show. Retailers and designers graced the catwalk wearing cup week inspired fashions from Cue, Gillian Melhop, Jane Daniels, Park Avenue, Lizendes and Westfield Riccarton.

Tuesday 8th of November-Addington Raceway hosted the Lindauer Best Dressed Lady, Sergios Best Dressed Man, The Breeze Body Art and The Edge Artwear competitions. We had a great number of entrants and the quality was outstanding. Congratulations to all of the winners, and for those who participated in the day.

Wednesday 9th of November-We were at Riccarton Park with designer Gillian Melhop showcasing her 2011 Summer Collection.

Friday 11th of November-Friday was Show Day at Addington Raceway. The red & black theme was in celebration of Canterbury Anniversary Day. Ten brave finalists were chosen to grace the catwalk in their red and black outfits. The winner Sandra Smith won a trip to Mooloolaba on the Gold Coast.

Saturday 12th of November-Riccarton Park Fashion in the Field Competition was delayed due to the weather conditions. Despite the rain, the competition took place in the public stand, adding a whole new electrifying element to the competition. The winners of the Fashion in the Field Best Dressed Man was Philip Wright and the Best Dressed Lady was Nettles Lamont.

Merry Christmas

As 2011 comes to an end I would like to reflect on all that has happened this year. It has been a year of sadness and so much change for us all. Lets take a moment of time to reflect on all that has happened.

I wish you well, as I feel that 2012 will bring new beginning's and new opportunities for all.

Swimwear

When it comes to choosing swimwear, there are three different factors that you must take into account. The first is style, the second is price and the third is functionality. Comfort and function are just as important as style and fashion when it comes to choosing a swimsuit, so make sure that whatever you choose is comfortable and flattering at the same time.

If you are set on a two piece, you may want to opt for a tankini which is a two piece swimsuit. Its all about concealing your curves and accentuating the ones you want to show off.

NZ Cup & Show Week

The countdown is most certainly on, with New Zealand Cup and Show Week less than 2 weeks away, which promises to be a fun and fashion filled time for Canterbury! I am co-ordinating the fashion competitions for Addington Raceway and Riccarton Park. I will keep you up to date with all of the fashion and activities during the week!

Angela Stone Clothing at New Zealand Fashion Week 2011

"Angela Stone Launching At New Zealand Fashion Week Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Show"

For renowned Fashion Stylist, Angela Stone, the 22nd of February marked many changes to the city she calls home, Christchurch, and her life therein. For one, the StyleYou inner-city studio, part of the StyleYour franchise, New Zealand's premium Fashion Styling School directed by Angela Stone, was instantly red-stickered and subsequently demolished due to extensive structural damage.

Stepping forward stylishly, Angela Stone looked to the future amongst the unmistakable disruption, and challenging economic times that many within the city faced. As an acclaimed Fashion Show Producer, Angela Stone optimised the opportunity to combine her two loves; fashion, and her philanthropic endeavours together in one project, the Canterbury Charity Designer Show.

The Canterbury Charity Designer Show will take place during New Zealand Fashion Week, and feature five Christchurch designers, including the exclusive launch of Angela Stone's own clothing collection-completely manufactured and designed in Christchurch for the modern day chic New Zealand woman.

The appeal show will raise awareness of the help Christchurch will continue to require for some time but also help re-engage people with the local Christchurch designers and support them by purchasing their designs. The show will have an optional $5 donation which you will be able to donate before being seated which will be donated to the Red Cross Earthquake Appeal.
