My exquisite new collection of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Vintage Chardonnay wines are handcrafted in Waipara Valley, Canterbury.

Wine and fashion have always gone hand in hand, and after many years involved in the fashion industry, I decided it was time to begin the next phase of the Angela Stone Brand. My first range was well received and it is with great excitement I present my new collection.

Entering the luxurious world of wine was never about ‘If’ it was a matter of ‘When’. As an organiser of many events, I have always been extremely passionate about serving my own wine.

2015 WAIPARA VALLEY PINOT GRIS

The fruit for my Waipara Valley 2015 Pinot Gris was harvested mid April in excellent condition. A number of treatments on the fruit followed – whole bunch fermentation, extended skin contact, indigenous fermentation and barrel fermentation. The wines were then blended together prior to bottling.

This Pinot Gris has ripe pear and peach aromatics with a hint of complexity. The palate is rich and full with great balance and concentration on the finish.

2015 WAIPARA VALLEY SAUVIGNON BLANC

My 2015 Waipara Valley Sauvignon Blanc was produced from fruit that was harvested mid April 2015 and was gently pressed. The free run juice and light pressings were then settled and cool fermented for an average of 21 days. Following two months of yeast less contact the parcels of Sauvignon Blanc were blended together, lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.

The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc displays fresh, lively gooseberry, passionfruit and citrusy aromas on the nose with a nice tropical note at the end resembling guava and passionfruit. The palate is structured and intense with a fresh tropical finish. A wine to be enjoyed over the next two to three years.

2015 WAIPARA VALLEY PINOT NOIR

The fruit for my 2015 Pinot Noir was harvested mid April in excellent condition. Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit was gently tipped into open top fermenters.  After a three day cool soak period, yeast was added to the tanks to initiate ferment. The cap was hand plunged three times a day and the juice remained “on skins” for an average of 21 days. Malolactic fermentation and four months oak maturation were completed prior to blending and bottling.

The 2015 Pinot Noir displays rich berry fruit aromas, supported by a hint of oak.  The palate is beautifully textured, rich and balanced with a rounded finish.

2011 VINTAGE WAIPARA VALLEY CHARDONNAY

My 2011 Vintage Waipara Valley Chardonnay has been fermented & matured in seasoned French oak barriques.
This wine evokes citrusy, slightly creamy and biscuity flavours. It is well balanced and elegant with lovely structure and texture on the palate.
